This accredited activity has been designed for Oncology Pharmacists and Nurses.

HOW TO OBTAIN CREDIT

Participants must 1) read the learning objectives and faculty disclosures; 2) view the educational activity; and 3) complete the posttest and evaluation form directly after the activity within a maximum of 60 days of participating in the activity. To answer the questions, click on your selected choice for each answer then proceed to the next question. Once completed, click on the Grade Exam button at the bottom of the page. Your posttest will automatically be graded. If you successfully complete the posttest (score of 70% or higher), your statement of participation will be made available immediately. Goal

The goal of this educational activity is to equip and empower oncology pharmacists and nurses with the knowledge, confidence, competence, and tools/resources necessary to recognize clinical hallmarks of VHL and serve vital patient-facing roles across the multidisciplinary treatment continuum, including the safe, effective, and patient-centric implementation of novel pharmacotherapeutics for management of VHL-associated tumors.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:

  • Review hallmark clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, and expert consensus best practices for active surveillance of von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease across the patient lifespan.
  • Evaluate the clinical trial evidence in support of novel systemic therapy approaches to treating VHL-associated tumors, highlighting regulatory milestones and the paradigmatic placement of approved agents.
  • Design individualized, data-driven treatment plans for patients with VHL-associated tumors, with a focus on patient selection and management of treatment-related adverse events.
