Lowering the Threshold of Suspicion: Pharmacist-led Strategies to Improve the Recognition and Management of hATTR Amyloidosis

ACTIVITY OVERVIEW
Often the first to see patients with manifestations of hATTR amyloidosis, pharmacists are a valuable part of the healthcare team. This activity will provide pharmacist-specific information that will help these HCPs identify potential patients with hATTR amyloidosis and provide appropriate information on treatment options.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for pharmacists from all inpatient and outpatient practice settings.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, the learner should be able to:
- Recognize the prevalence, demographics, and disease burden of hATTR amyloidosis
- Describe clinical manifestations and specific symptoms that may be attributed to hATTR amyloidosis
- Implement pharmacist-driven strategies to effectively and efficiently identify potential patients with hATTR amyloidosis in clinical practice
- Assess the efficacy and safety of hATTR amyloidosis treatment options to inform appropriate, individualized treatment and decision-making

Statements of credit will be awarded based on the participant reviewing activity, scoring a 70%or higher on the post test, and completing and submitting an activity evaluation. A statement of credit will be available upon completion of an online evaluation/claimed credit form. You must participate in the entire activity to receive credit.
