GOAL
To address current issues in the management of respiratory tract congestion, especially regarding the use of expectorants/mucolytics.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After completing this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the prevalence and diagnosis of congestion associated with RTIs;*
  2. Discuss the differentiation between URTIs and LRTIs and their sequelae;*
  3. Describe the pharmacological approaches for the treatment of congestion associated with RTIs* and
  4. Describe strategies for enhancing patient outcomes.

*Also applies to pharmacy technicians.
