GOAL
To review the etiology and clinical presentation of nasal congestion and provide strategies for its appropriate management.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After completing this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Review the etiologies and manifestations of nasal congestion;*
  2. Outline the current approaches to the management of nasal congestion;*
  3. Describe strategies for determining the most appropriate therapy for managing nasal congestion, including the need for uninterrupted sleep;*
  4. Explain the need for communication with patients;* and
  5. List strategies clinicians may employ to educate, counsel, and monitor their patients who present with nasal congestion.
